One of my favorite things about designing FLAX collections is watching the pieces begin to tell a bigger story. A new fabric arrives, and suddenly it works beautifully with something we introduced months ago. Then another collection comes along, and the possibilities grow even more.
That's exactly what happened with Core Companions Two.
The Beauty of Yarn-Dyed Linen
This collection is built around a remarkable yarn-dyed linen that has incredible depth. Rather than a solid color, each fabric is woven with contrasting threads that create an almost iridescent effect. The colors shift as they catch the light, giving each piece richness and dimension that photographs can only begin to capture.
Blue Iris starts with a soft periwinkle base woven with deep plum threads. Saffron is a warm golden mustard enlivened with rich red threads. Pomegranate pairs a vibrant, sophisticated red with navy, while Juniper combines emerald green with dark blue woven throughout. Each color has its own personality, yet all of them are wonderfully wearable.
Colors That Work With Your Wardrobe
What I especially love is how naturally these colors fit into the FLAX wardrobe. They pair beautifully with pieces you may already own from earlier 2026 collections, and they'll continue to work with collections that are still to come. That's always our goal—to create clothing that builds on itself season after season rather than replacing what came before.
